I was driving behind a minivan the other day that was rockin’ a 13.1 bumper sticker. I was suddenly overcome with awe–and desire to someday be that cool to have earned such a number. The sad thing is that I hate to run. This will not change and no half-marathon is foreseeable in my future. But I found myself wishing that there was somehow a sticker of equal value for acing out Jillian Micheals’s 30-Day Shred or something. But there’s not…and there really shouldn’t be. The thing is, training for and actually running a race is a huge progressive accomplishment that earns its own special kind of honor–and bumper sticker. So I bow to–and humbly envy–all you awesome moms slammin’ out the minivan lifestyle and running marathons on the side. Go you!
