When Steph over at The Healthy Mom, nominated me for the Leibster Award, I definitely started workin’ a little bit of a rockstar strut. Thank you so much, Steph! See, I’ve never won anything before…okay, well maybe an award for doing a bunch of sit-ups in a row at field day in second grade or something (but who would remember something silly like that?), so this definitely, definitely made my day.
Steph writes about creating and living a healthy lifestyle with her husband and two boys. She is holistic in her approach, focusing on body, mind and spirit and shares some really awesome advice along the way. Some of her posts are funny and some are more serious, but above all, I just love reading her blog because she is real. A true treasure in this world of motherhood! Check her out 🙂
So what is a Leibster Award? It is basically an award that bloggers can pass on to relatively new blogs with a smaller following (200 or fewer followers) to help draw attention to these blogs and help them gain more attention. Essentially, it’s basically a big “Go you!”, which is always awesome 😉
Being nominated for a Liebster comes with a few guidelines…
1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.
2. You must link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.
3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs you think deserve some recognition. Remember they have to have 200 followers or less when presented with a Liebster!
5. Make sure you let the bloggers you nominated know they have a Liebster! Leave a comment on their blog, DM on twitter, Facebook post–however you normally get in contact with them!
So who am I nominating? These five blogs always rock my day and I love following along:
1. More than Mommies. Christine and Janene are just so darn awesome at delivering relevant posts. Whether they are hashing out their latest book club pick, sharing funny stories from your week, or reminding you of blessings, they keep it real. When I go to their blog, it feels like walking into a room full of friends.
2. Motherhood on the Rocks. This mom rolls out some really, really funny stuff that I can always relate to. She also shakes it up with some recipes, reviews, and some great family pics. I love checking in on her blog and leaving with a smile!
3. lia sophia tomgirl. She has got awesome stories about her day-to-day life that make me laugh and feel a little more normal about my life–that’s always a good thing 😉 She tells it like it is with a natural charm and throws out awesome posts.
4. Lessons from the Garden. Jen is a mom of two boys who thoroughly delights in her gardening. She has fantastic tips and advice for gardens and great stories to share–and she writes it all with savvy and grace. Her blog is a wonderful spot to stop and refresh–love it!
5. Jellibean Journals. I just found this neat treasure of a blog. As Jelli describes, she blogs about “a sweeter on life in Costa Rica”. She blogs all about her life as a wife and mom and has a really cool perspective on sharing her experiences and her faith. I always look forward to reading more!
