Elyse, channeling her inner Audrey Hepburn… |
They just are. My children are only 9 mo. and 2 yrs., but I can already see it. True, this is in no way a scientific observation, as I am comparing only one child against another, both from the same family, but…My husband and I already notice behavioral differences big-time. Elyse is entirely relational and such a busy-body, totally concerned with what people are doing. Isaac is classic hyperactive boy, racing from one thing to the next and has to take EVERYTHING apart to see how it works. And yes, while these differences could easily be explained away outside of gender, there is one very practical observation that cannot be overlooked–GIRL CLOTHES ROCK!! No matter how much time I spend obsessively online-seeking cute stuff for my son, his wardrobe will never be comparable to my daughter’s. It just won’t. Not saying he’s not cute, but he could never in a million years pull off the freakin’ adorable pink glamour with the same sass as my little girl. Sorry, buddy–at least you’ve got other really cool stuff coming your way, like no foreseeable need for sanitary napkins and no stressful mornings of trying to match your bows to your outfits 🙂
