Let’s be honest–we all do this from time to time. In truth, probably a good, healthy shout-out to self-discovery in our modern times. But don’t be fooled–this is no joke. Maybe not a bad idea to fortify oneself prior to typing in your own name. Case in point: not shocked to see all my latest reviews on goodreads.com (love love love this site to help me organize my reading obsession–please join and look me up as a “friend”, I will adore you forever) come up, but slightly depressively slayed when my name came up in my dear late grandmother’s online obituary from 5 mo. ago and now my mom’s from Monday–ouch, ouch, and then ouch. And then dramatically switch gears to somewhat hysterical laughter as I discovered MY AMAZON BUYING HISTORY IS MADE PUBLIC! Praise God we are only looking at the aforementioned coffee filters here…loving that my name on the nursery worker schedule rotation at Hershey Free Church from, oh, seven years ago still rocks the web. And then just benign tedious junk along with the reassurance that I am the only “Meredith Spidel” in the USA. Anyway, check yourself out–a good neurotic habit to get into.
