Usually, I always feel sort of a post-holiday low. All the fun and excitement is past. But then I saw this picture, and suddenly boring wasn’t looking so bad. In fact, it was looking pretty good. In fact, it was looking down-right AWESOME. This picture was taken right before we loaded the van to depart for a ONE NIGHT trip. So yeah…sitting here at home, with everything unpacked, put away, no large extra boxes obstructing my path to the dishwasher…mmmh…maybe not so bad?? The value of having no suitcases in the minivan and all of your child’s onesies back in their respective drawers cannot be understated. In fact if the magical Handy Helper that decorated our house for the holidays could come undecorate our home and get all the lights, garland and festive candles restored to their 11/12ths-of-the-year natural habitat in the dark corners of our basement, I would be golden. I could happily reside in the dull January lull for a very long time 🙂
