So a little free advertising for Old Navy coming your way…Obviously, whoever is in charge of their marketing for the under 5 set, profiled me and designed their entire campaign of graphic tees to play on all my soft spots. Rainbow Brite, seriously? Awww…!! What female in her young 30s has not fallen in love with this fantastic multi-hued heroine and her white star-studded horse? And now, Old Navy has done a throw-back to my childhood and recreated her image in a shirt for my daughter?! I am in love! And then there is the perfect Mickey Mouse Christmas tee shirt for my son with an adorable Minnie Mouse counterpart for my daughter? Seriously, how CUTE WOULD THAT BE?! And there are the Star Wars shout-outs for my husband’s obsession…so, obviously we have a problem here (read: my husband is ready to kill me). Of course these perfect little shirts are not in our budget, BUT it is somewhat astounding the number of hours one can spend obsessively browsing these shirt online. And if I had to pick the most oft-discussed topic in our home, it would have to be my relentless pitches for why these tees are integral to my children’s development. Bottom line, just say a prayer for my husband this holiday season and I’ll continue to wait for my endorsement from Old Navy…
