My Daughter’s First Boyfriend

My daughter is in a serious relationship.  My husband is upset that her stuffed giraffe failed to ask his permission before getting so involved with his daughter.  Let’s just say things have become pretty intimate pretty quickly.  This does not set a good precedent for those horrendous teenage years to come.  I don’t think my sister had any idea she was introducing a future beau when she purchased this giraffe for my son (who completely ignored it) two years ago.  I have to admit, as a SAHM, it is reassuring to see her capacity to make a connection, because you never want your child to be the weird one who isn’t socialized.  Though it would be better if this was occurring at a more appropriate age with of course, possibly, a fellow human…;)
