Vacationing to the Grocery Store

Don’t plan to normally post multiple times in the same hour, but I keep thinking of stuff that makes me laugh and my son is napping, so…

This year for vacay I decided to go all out and went to Giant at 4am without kids.  Yesterday morning after waking at 2am to take my sister and very new BIL to the airport for their honeymoon, I thought, “why not?”  And let me tell you–it was a dream come true.  NO KIDS above all, but then no other shoppers, no traffic getting there.  Granted, the produce was all bruised and picked over, but I’ll suck up nasty nectarines for a week for this luxury.  My favorite part was when my husband called to ask if I already fed the dog and I seriously got ticked off because he was interrupting my vacation.  Seriously, let a girl stare wistfully at all the different Pantene hair products (do you love their new lines or what?!) for five minutes straight at 4:47am without interruption…

Now don’t get too envious of my glamorous life–I am envisioning a 2nd vacation this year next week when I go to wait for their flight to get in at 12:20am in the cell phone lot.  I may take a book to read or be crazy and try to take a nap.  I am so living the good life.
