First, let me say I love your blog and your Facebook page. As the mother of a six and three-year-old, your words ring all too true. I’m often laughing (and/or crying) at my desk while reading your work.

Speaking of work, I’m the Social Media and Promotions Coordinator for a marketing company in Madison, Wisconsin. We basically do destination marketing (i.e. trying to get people to travel to and stay overnight in the places we represent). I handle the social media for our clients (which are basically tourist spots in Wisconsin) and we’re running a contest right now that I was hoping you might help me promote.

It’s called Vacation Photo Fail (www.vacationphotofail.com) and we’re giving away $1,000 to the person with the funniest vacation photo fail. We’re also giving away 2 night stays in the destinations we represent and $100 gas cards to 11 other winners. Right now, the contest is kind of sucking. I need help going viral. Before I get fired. And I can’t be a stay at home mom. I don’t have the intestinal fortitude for that. So ya gotta help me.

Do you think you could throw in a plug? Maybe say you stumbled on this great contest? Our main demographic is 30-50 year old women (they’re the household travel planners), so I think a shout-out from you could really do wonders.

I’d be incredibly grateful. I appreciate your time and wish you the best.

    Thanks so much,
    Kate Hagen

Kate, thanks for your kind words! I will leave this up here so people can read all about it and just shouted you out on Twitter too. I looked at the site and the pictures are hysterical! Hope this takes off and thanks for touching base,
      Meredith :)
